George is an internationally recognized research scientist with over 15 years of experience at leading European institutions, including the Foundation for Research and Technology–Hellas (FORTH) in Greece, the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA/Saclay) in France, and EONOS Investment Technologies, a pioneering R&D financial consultancy in France.

His peer-reviewed research has been published in top-tier journals, and he has presented at prestigious conferences across the fields of signal processing, machine learning, and computational finance. He has secured numerous research grants from both the EU and Greece and actively contributes to several R&D projects as a coordinator or project leader.

George holds two PhDs—one in Computer Science from the University of Crete and another in Computational Finance and Risk Management from the University of Bordeaux, France. He is a reviewer for top-ranked journals such as IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, and IEEE Transactions on Image Processing. Additionally, he has co-organized five international conferences and served as a committee member for four more in the fields of AI, signal processing, and smart networks.

He currently resides with his family on the island of Crete, Greece.
